Remote Phonebook Registry · RPR

Your team and clients.
One business phonebook.

Keep team and client contact details in one central phonebook, shared across your sites and compatible Yealink desk phones. With caller lookup configured, phones can display a saved client’s name when they call. Manage it all through a simple web portal on desktop or mobile.

Managed hosting starting from $75 / monthAUD · excluding GST

Caller name display depends on handset support, configuration and a matching incoming phone number. We will confirm your setup, onboarding and pricing.

One place to keep contacts current

Spend less time maintaining separate contact lists.

When contact details change, separate spreadsheets and handset directories can quickly fall out of step. RPR gives your team one place to maintain its phonebook, helping reduce repeated updates.

Everyday contact management

Add, edit and remove contacts in your organisation’s portal. Store a primary number, an optional secondary number, number types and an optional email address.

One organisation, multiple sites

Organise your directory by site and share contacts across locations. Multi-site phonebooks can present a site menu, including an All Sites option, through the Yealink directory feed.

At a desk or on your phone

A directory that fits your working day.

A mobile-friendly portal

View and maintain contacts through a mobile browser. Phone and email links open your device’s calling and email apps.

A directory for compatible desk phones

RPR provides a Yealink-format XML remote phonebook. Once compatible handsets are configured, they retrieve the directory from RPR. Contact changes become available when the handset next fetches or refreshes its phonebook.

Compatibility and refresh behaviour depend on handset model, firmware, provisioning and network access. We will confirm the fit during onboarding.

Help bringing your contacts across

Our administrators can import CSV contact lists, including separate imports for different sites. Administrators can also export a phonebook to CSV, Excel or PDF when required.

Support conversations in one place

Raise an issue from your hosted portal, add comments and follow its status. Your organisation sees its own tickets, while our administrators help manage requests.

  2. Set up your phonebook.

We create your organisation’s hosted space and help bring across your contact list.

  3. Connect compatible phones.

Configure handsets to retrieve the appropriate RPR directory.

  4. Keep contacts current.

Your team updates the portal; phones retrieve changes on their next directory fetch or refresh.

Managed by Z Assorted Works

We host RPR. Your team manages its contacts.

Starting from $75 / monthAUD · excluding GST

Request your organisation’s phonebook on our managed RPR service. We operate the hosting environment and set up your access, so your team can maintain contacts without running a local RPR server.

An enquiry is the first step. We will confirm compatibility, service availability, setup and pricing with you.

Self-hosted edition Planned

Your own RPR, on your own network.

We are planning a local edition for one organisation’s own use. It will provide the customer portal experience, without the ability to create additional tenants or access the provider’s management console.

Your organisation or IT provider will manage the local hosting environment, network access and database backups on your own schedule. Limited support will be available for additional fees.

Availability, system requirements, licensing and support fees will be confirmed as development progresses.

A few practical questions

Before you get started.

Can we update the phonebook ourselves?

Yes. Your portal lets you add, edit and remove your own contacts. Initial site setup, bulk imports and exports are currently handled by administrators.

Can we manage more than one office?

Yes. RPR supports multiple sites within an organisation, and a contact can belong to more than one site.

Will it work with our existing phones?

RPR provides a Yealink-format remote phonebook. We will check your handset models, firmware, provisioning and network access before confirming compatibility.

Do changes appear on phones immediately?

The updated directory is available when a phone requests it. The time taken to display changes depends on the phone’s fetch, refresh and caching behaviour.

Can we access another organisation’s phonebook?

Customer portal access is scoped to your own organisation. Service administrators have broader access to provide administration and support.

Do we need a server?

Our hosted option does not require a local RPR server. The planned self-hosted edition will require your own local hosting environment and network configuration.

Does self-hosting include a reseller console?

No. The planned edition is for one organisation’s use and will not allow you to create additional tenants. Multiple sites within an organisation are different from additional tenants.

Can we move our contact data later?

Administrators can export phonebooks in CSV, Excel and PDF formats. Migration to a future self-hosted edition will need a supported migration process; it is not currently an automated feature.
